Create Amor (Spanish for “Create Love”), a Texas-based startup, set out to establish itself in the competitive U.S. market. With no digital presence, customer base, or brand assets, the company needed a compelling online platform and a strategic roadmap to gain traction. Partnering with Clue, they built a B2C eCommerce store on Shopify – laying the groundwork for future growth.
Starting from the ground up, Create Amor needed to carve out a strong digital presence while competing with well-established brands. Without an existing website, customer base, or marketing framework, the challenge was twofold: driving immediate sales while building long-term brand awareness.
Adding complexity, the brand sought to develop both B2C strategies for direct-to-consumer sales and a foundation for future B2B expansion.

We began by designing a fully customised Shopify theme tailored to meet Create Amor’s specific needs. Every element of the store was meticulously optimised for speed and conversion, ensuring it would thrive in the fiercely competitive eCommerce landscape.
Recognising that the majority of today’s transactions occur on mobile devices, we adopted a mobile-first design strategy to guarantee a flawless user experience across all devices. Our team carefully developed a clear and structured information architecture that allowed for the seamless management of product variants – such as sizes and colours – crucial for efficient inventory management. To keep the project moving, our team designed detailed, high-fidelity mockups that could be easily updated as the final brand assets were introduced.
Our commitment to driving results extended far beyond design and development. We implemented a series of strategic marketing initiatives aimed at building awareness and generating early sales momentum. By introducing email marketing automation, we integrated Klaviyo, setting up automated campaigns that targeted the right customers at the right time concurrently during the eCommerce store build. In addition, we cleaned and refined the existing email lists provided to ensure precision targeting and maximum engagement.
Create Amor’s success is supported by a thoughtfully crafted technology stack that streamlines operations and enhances the customer experience. Built for scalability, the Shopify store seamlessly integrates with ShipHero to optimise inventory management and fulfillment, ensuring efficient order processing from start to finish.
Customer satisfaction was a key priority, which is why we introduced solutions like LoopReturns for effortless returns management and TrueFit to assist shoppers in finding their perfect size – reducing hesitation and minimising returns.
Equally important was building credibility. By integrating Yotpo, we encouraged authentic customer reviews and feedback, fostering trust and transparency that resonated with shoppers.
We also sought to remove barriers to purchase, incorporating TryNow’s “try before you buy” feature, an effective way to boost confidence among first-time buyers.
Marketing activities were also woven into the foundational setup of the site, with the goal of positioning and ranking Create Amor prominently in search results and driving traffic through effective eCommerce marketing techniques. To bolster Create Amor’s online presence, we launched paid advertising campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads. We complemented these efforts with a thoughtful content strategy, producing SEO-optimised product descriptions and blogs designed to enhance search visibility and engagement – vital components of the B2C marketing plan.
Clue’s work with Create Amor resulted in a highly functional, scalable B2C eCommerce platform that set the stage for the brand’s future growth. Since its launch on 4 July 2023, the B2C Shopify site has seen over 102,000 website sessions, marking a strong entry into the competitive B2C marketing space.
One of the key successes of the project was the creation of a platform that could scale as Create Amor’s business grows. While the initial focus was on B2C marketing and sales, the infrastructure Clue developed is designed to support future B2B eCommerce sales and wholesale operations, demonstrating the flexibility of the solution. The early marketing campaigns also proved successful, building a robust email database for future retargeting.
The site’s seamless integration with tools like ShipHero for inventory management, Klaviyo for email automation, and TrueFit for sizing guidance helped Create Amor offer a premium customer experience from the outset. Paid advertising campaigns were effective in driving early traffic and generating sales, setting Create Amor on a path towards sustained growth in both the B2B and B2C marketing arenas.
