For over 75 years, Juniper has been a leading provider of aged care services in Western Australia, supporting thousands of elderly Australians through residential, in-home, and community care. As their services grew, they recognised the need for a modern, user-friendly digital platform that would reflect the quality of care they provide.
Clue was engaged to overhaul Juniper’s digital presence, selecting WordPress as the foundation for a new, intuitive website. The project focused on enhancing UX/UI to improve navigation and accessibility, while targeted SEO strategies were implemented to boost visibility. The result is a streamlined platform that clearly communicates Juniper’s extensive aged care services, including residential and in-home care.
Juniper’s existing website served its purpose but needed to evolve alongside the organisation’s growing services. Managing content was not as efficient as it could be, and the site’s structure made it less intuitive for users to navigate key services like residential and home care. Additionally, the site required optimisation for a seamless mobile experience.
Midway through the project, Juniper introduced a new branding strategy, including an updated logo and colour palette. Clue worked to seamlessly integrate these changes into the new web design while keeping the project on track.
Clue’s approach to Juniper’s new website was rooted in creating a digital experience that was both visually captivating and functionally seamless. We began by engaging in detailed consultations with stakeholders, which gave us deep insights into Juniper’s needs. This allowed us to completely reimagine the site’s information architecture, ensuring it was aligned with user needs.
With a strong focus on both web design and SEO, we carefully conducted keyword research and mapped out workflows to create a user-friendly journey. The desktop-first design strategy catered to Juniper’s aged care demographic, but we ensured full mobile responsiveness, allowing for easy navigation across all devices. Larger fonts and streamlined navigation were key elements in making the site accessible to both older adults and caregivers, enhancing the overall experience.
One of the standout features we implemented was the “My Aged Care Journey” tool, which was designed to offer a personalised path for users navigating Juniper’s diverse range of care options. We also developed a location finder, making it easy for users to search and locate Juniper’s residential aged care facilities throughout Western Australia.
To support Juniper’s fundraising efforts, we integrated a donation system powered by Gravity Forms and a secure payment gateway, simplifying the contribution process. Advanced Custom Fields allowed Juniper’s team to efficiently manage and update content, while Gravity Forms handled form submissions and donations. Meanwhile, Yoast was implemented to strengthen the site’s SEO performance.
From the outset, SEO was a core focus, with Clue’s strategy designed to enhance Juniper’s online visibility. Targeting high-value keywords such as “aged care Perth” and “home care WA,” we aimed to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings. To preserve existing SEO value, a comprehensive URL redirect plan was executed during the migration process, ensuring a smooth transition without impacting search engine presence.
Although the website redesign focused on delivering immediate improvements, the opportunity to integrate additional features, such as a CRM and scheduling callback system, remains available for future development.
The flexibility of the website’s architecture ensures that as Juniper continues to evolve, these enhancements can be implemented smoothly, allowing the platform to grow alongside the organisation’s expanding needs. This forward-thinking design keeps the website adaptable and prepared for future innovations.
